Surfboard Rack
How to setup and install surfboard rack on your Four Wheel Camper
Surfboard Rack
-
Loosen the nuts and the handle bolt on the flat corner brace just enough to allow the arm assembly to move freely. -
Rotate the arm assembly and push it against the rack so the arm is perpendicular and flush to the rack.
-
Loosen and remove the lone handle bolt from the rack and align the nut under the open hole of the flat corner brace.
-
Insert the handle bolt into the flat corner brace hole with the nut underneath and tighten minimally, to allow the arm assembly to still slide along the rack freely.
-
Position the arm at least 1” from bottom of rack to give appropriate space for the surfboard. This position can still be adjusted if necessary.
-
Tighten all nuts and bolts on the flat corner brace to secure the arm in its position.
-
Flip the rack over and slide three 1” x 3/8” bolts into the rack channel opposite of the handle bolts, close to the bottom of the rack.
-
With the bolts now in the channel, place the endcap onto the open end of the rack, and hammer the endcap to secure it in the rack.

-
Distance the bolts approximately 5 ½” from each other, to match the plate.
-
Place the jack bracket extension plate onto the rack (as shown in the image) aligning the plate holes with the bolts in the rack channel.
-
Align the bottom of the plate with bottom of rack (different from the double rack) and fasten the plate by using three 3/8” nylock nuts. Tighten the nuts until snug.
How to Install the Surfboard Rack to Camper
-

Hold the surfboard rack to the jack bracket, align the holes of the jack bracket with the extension plate, and insert a 1 ¼” x 3/8” bolt into each hole.
• Longer bolts may be required for the rear if a rear rack is equipped.
• For double surfboard rack, assistance may be required.
-
Fasten 3/8” nylock nuts to each bolt. Tighten until snug.

How to Fasten Surfboard to the Surfboard Rack

-
Place the surfboard onto the rack, allowing each end of the board to rest on the rubber V cradles.
-
Loosen both rubber bumpers by twisting the bumper by hand, or by loosening the center nut in and place the bumpers just under the surfboard.
-
Bring the rubber straps up and over the surfboard and pull them firmly to the hook on the underside of the arm assembly.
-
Check that the surfboard is firmly secured to the surfboard rack.
