Screen Door Handle Installation Instructions
Camper Types: Slide-In & Flatbed campers w/ top corner radius doors
This guide covers installation instructions for attaching the Four Wheel Camper screen door handle to a radius top corner screen door. For further support please contact the FWC Service Department (530) 666-1442 or your local dealer.
Parts & Tools Needed
- Screen Door Handle – Formed aluminum
- (2) 3/16 x 1/2” Pop Rivets
- Pencil
- Drill
- 3/16 drill bit
- Rivet Gun Tool w/ attachment
Installation
- Test fit the 3/16 x 1/2” rivets to the 2 existing holes on the screen door handle
- If they do not fit, use a drill with 3/16 drill bit to open up the holes slightly
- Open screen door, installation of handle is on the interior facing side of the screen door
- Orient the screen door handle with the curved long side facing down
- Center handle on horizontal screen door member above the screen door slider
- Mark first hole location on screen door
- Drill first hole location on screen door frame
- Warning! Only drill first layer of screen door frame. Do NOT drill all the way through the screen door frame.
- Attach the first side of handle through the first set of holes using a 3/16 x 1/2” rivet into the screen door following rivet gun instructions
- Realign handle with the horizontal screen door member above the screen door slider
- Use second hole on screen door handle to drill hole in screen door frame
- Warning! Only drill first layer of screen door frame. Do NOT drill all the way through the screen door frame.
- Attach the second side of handle through the second set of holes using a 3/16 x 1/2” rivet into the screen door following rivet gun instructions
- NOTE: Do not overload handle as weight can transfer to screen door and impact door alignment.
